This week in surf....

Congrats to Bede Durbidge for nabbing the number one at the Hangloose Santa Catarina pro in Imbituba, Brazil. Durbidge beat Jeremy Flores 17.76 to 9.86 in the finals.
This win gets Durbidge the number two spot on the ASP tour heading into Pipeline Masters. Super stoked to be right behind Slater who has already secured his old buddy number one.

Taking a look at the current top ten after this event....

1. Kelly Slater
2.Bede Durbidge
3. Taj Burrow
4. Joel Parkinson
5. C.J. Hobgood
6. Adriano de Souza
7. Adrian Buchan
8. Mick Fanning
9. Bobby Martinez
10. Jeremy Flores

....looks like just a little shuffling of my fantasy surfer team will be in order before the Masters waiting period starts on December 8th.

HEY LADIES.......
The Movistar Classic Mancora Peru presented by Ripcurl (thats a mouthful) is starting today (Nov. 3rd). Should be an exciting one. Current number one Sofia Mulanovich is out with an ankle injury. Among the competetors, Jessi Miley-Dyer is the only one who will frontside advantage at this lefthand point break. Actually, its the only left wave on the entire tour. There a quite a few talents who so far don't have enough points for requalification on the tour next year, among them Melanie Redman-Carr, Serina Brookes and Megan Abubo , with only 2 events left after Peru the pressure is on.
Happy coverage day, there is a web site and live video feed at www.beachbyte.com.br/eventos/mancora08
